This website
There is no form on this website: you do not enter any data here. If you would like to get in touch, simply call or email us directly. What the website does process is set out below.
Technical log files. For each visit, the web server records, among other things, the IP address, the time and the page requested. This is necessary for security and to detect errors. These files are automatically deleted after thirty days.
Visitor statistics. We measure how many people visit the website and which pages are read most. We do this with statistics software on our own server within the European Union. The data stays there and we do not share it with anyone. Specifically:
- nothing is placed on or read from your device;
- your IP address is anonymised before it is stored;
- from your IP address we first derive an approximate location (country, region and town), using a database on our own server; no data is sent to any other party for this;
- in addition, we record which pages you viewed, for how long, which website or search engine you came from, and what type of device, browser and screen size you use;
- we do not track you across other websites and do not create a profile of you;
- if “Do Not Track” is enabled in your browser, we do not measure your visit;
- we delete the individual visit data after 180 days; after that we keep only totals.
Our property listings. On the Listings page, the properties we have for sale are loaded directly from the supplier of our property software, a Dutch company. To do so, your browser retrieves the overview, the photos and two fonts; for those fonts, the request goes to a font service of a provider in the United States. In the process, these parties see your IP address and which page you are viewing. This only happens on the Listings page.
Purchased properties. For a number of properties that we have purchased, photos are shown that are loaded from a property platform. Here too, that party sees your IP address.
Map. The Contact page contains a map from an external map service. It is only loaded on that page. In the process, the map service sees your IP address and which page you are viewing. The provider is established in the United States; the transfer of data outside the European Union is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The website runs on servers within the European Union. Apart from the parties above, nobody receives data via the website. We will provide the names of our processors on request.
Legal basis (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): our legitimate interest in having a properly functioning, secure website and being able to show our listings.
Cookies
This website does not place cookies for advertising, statistics or to track visitors across other websites. You will therefore only see a short notice. If you dismiss it, the website remembers this with one small file on your device, so that the notice does not reappear on every visit. It contains nothing that can be traced back to you.
Viewing, correcting or deleting your data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Today Makelaars, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation you name.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing, to info@todaymakelaars.nl. To make sure that the request has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity. In this copy, black out your passport photo, passport number and citizen service number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, and in any case within four weeks.
Today Makelaars would also like to point out that you can lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
How we protect personal data
Today Makelaars takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. The website can only be accessed via an encrypted connection. If you feel that your data is not properly secured after all, or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us at info@todaymakelaars.nl.
